Volunteer | Viridis

I signed up to assist with Interfaith Refugee & Immigration Services (IRIS) in March of 2017. At the time there were enormous changes taken place for Refugees and Immigrants in the U.S. I felt a sudden urge to help and assist in any way I could. During my affiliation with IRIS,  I was trained on how to properly complete the Citizenship Application. I soon began to take cases on my own to help an applicant one on one. I began to develop a trust relationship with applicants, which made clients comfortable in sharing their stories. IRIS has helped me fulfill my soul's hunger to help people.
